[field_profile_type] The Innovative Team: Chris Grivas & Gerard Puccio
After working in a few jobs with people who were "working for the weekend," Christopher Grivas began to wonder, "How do you inspire creativity?" With guidance and recommendations from Dr. Teresa Amabile, a well-known creativity researcher and Harvard Business School Professor, Chris enrolled in the graduate progran at the International Center for Studies in Creativity to find the answer to his question.
Chris was introduced to metacognitive teaching and had the opportunity to use his creative thinking skills at a wide range of levels. His experiences at the International Center for Studies in Creativity helped to nurture his love for learning. Chris is now an Organizational Development Specialist at the New York University Medical Center while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor at New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He has taken elements and tools from creative problem solving to strengthen his qualitative research by identifying themes in issues and organizational research. Chris works hard to inspire creativity in his own students using the tools that he learned at the International Center for Studies in Creativity.
