Marie Mance is Associate Director of the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College. In this role she manages special projects of strategic importance, facilitates Center initiatives and provides leadership for a variety of administrative functions. Previously she taught graduate and undergraduate courses full-time and served as an adjunct instructor.
She has traveled internationally to present creativity and creative problem solving courses and workshops in Nigeria, Singapore and South Africa. She has also designed and delivered workshops in creativity, strategic planning and other change initiatives for a number of organizations in the public and private sector.
Also at Buffalo State College Marie was the Director of Leadership Development and Manager of Organizational Development. She was a member of the team that developed the first leadership programs for faculty and staff and then assumed the leadership role. In addition to coordinating the leadership programs, she designed and delivered workshops and served as a coach for program participants.
Marie holds an M.S. in Creativity and M.Ed. in Counseling/Student Personnel. She has published a number of articles on creativity and leadership, and is the co-author of Creative Leadership: Skills that Drive Change and Creativity Rising.
